Our Approach to AI

We started QuestWorks with human facilitators. It was great, but it didn't scale, and scheduling killed adoption faster than any dragon ever could.

We know AI is a sore subject in the tabletop community. We get it. There's something sacred about a human GM bringing a world to life. We're not here to argue otherwise.

But we had a choice: build something pure that nobody uses, or build something that actually gets teams playing together. We chose impact over method.

Here's the reality: team development only works if teams actually do it. Not once a quarter. Not when HR can finally wrangle everyone's calendars. Regularly. The only way to make that happen is to remove the friction, and the biggest friction was always "when can we all meet?"

AI facilitation means your team can play when three people happen to be free at 2pm on a Tuesday. No scheduling. No waiting. No excuses.

Our AI facilitators generate endless, adaptive stories in real-time. No two quests are the same because no two teams are the same. Pre-written scenarios can't surface what makes your team tick, but dynamic storytelling can. For teams that want the human touch, we still offer facilitated events; just not as our core on-demand experience.

We also use AI-generated art throughout the platform. It helps create an immersive experience that pulls people in, something teams actually want to show up for. That's the whole point.

Here's something else: most of our players aren't tabletop gamers. Many aren't gamers at all. We're introducing this hobby to people who never would have tried it otherwise. Our hope is that QuestWorks inspires them to play with their friends in real life. If the goal is more human-led D&D in the world, this is the way to get there.

We take responsibility seriously. Your conversations aren't used to train external AI models. We have safety rails built into every session. And we donate 1% of all revenue to environmental causes while continually seeking ways to reduce the environmental and societal impact of the AI we use.

AI is a tool. We use it to create experiences that bring teams closer together. That's it.
